Becker, Irene, M. (nee Petrovich) Saturday February 12, 2022. Beloved wife of Thomas G. Becker. Dear mother of Roberta Perno. Dear sister of Sam Petrovich, Jack (June) Petrovich and the late Mary Kulp. Our dear sister-in-law, aunt, great aunt, cousin and friend.
Irene Becker was a staple to the St. Louis community in many ways. She was a barber for 30 years and interacted with many individuals who followed her throughout her career due to not only her expertise in managing hair, but even more so, due to her contagious and engaging personality. Her care and concern for her customers involved a listening ear to their struggles and a joyous heart for their blessings. Her broad reach of connections due to her professional and personal life, has been a blessing to so many who cherish her and whose lives have been brightened because of her. Her husband Thomas Becker has been her constant and committed companion through all the years of their 35 year marriage. Together, as a couple, they will be remembered for the laughter, love, and infectious personalities that graced so many of her family’s, friends’, and coworkers’ lives. And finally, Irene Becker was the type mother to her only daughter, Roberta, that demonstrated unconditional love, wisdom, laughter, and class in all that she did. Together they both shared a special bond that will forever be a reminder of the beauty of a mother/daughter relationship. Irene Becker will live on in the hearts of all that were blessed to have known her and her memory will give each a smile, a tear, a laugh, and an admiration that is second to none.
Funeral from Kutis South County Chapel 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd. Saturday February 19 at 10:00 am. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation Friday 4-8 pm.

Tom,
Mike and I and our children are profoundly sorry for the lose of our sweet cousin Irene. Our memories of her will always be filled with love, happiness , joy and laughter.
These past few days we have been reminiscing about her and I think my youngest said it best. He said mom, we will miss her not with memories of sadness but with laughter. What better legacy to leave behind?
We love you and today we will be sad, but not for long. I can’t help but hear Dolly laughing, shaking her head, rolling her eyes going to Irene “look at her, get over here”. That was our love language .

Dear Tom, on behalf of the McCluer class of 1968, please accept our sincere condolences. Irene and I were very close friends in junior high school and spent the night with each other on a regular basis on the weekends. She was doing hair way back then. Much love to you and your entire family
