Belt

In Loving Memory

Belt, Norma L.

Belt, Norma Lee (nee Rench), 83 formerly of Greenville, IL was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, April 30, 2022.  Beloved mother of Rebecca (Dennis) Hammer, David (Micki) Belt and the late Richard J. Belt. Foster mother to Patrick Franke.  Dear grandmother of Amanda Driesewerd, William (Megan) Hammer, Jacob Hammer, Brandon (Angel) Belt, Alex Belt and Holly Belt.  Dearest great grandmother of Dominic, Austin, Rylee, Bridget, Kyle and Kimmy.  Daughter of the late Homer and Irene (nee McCasland) Rench.  Dear sister of Joe (Rhonda) Rench and Karen Simpson and the late Connie Rench.

Norma was an award winning quilt maker, avid gardener, world traveler, missionary, member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and a member of the Daughters of the War of 1812.  She also was the former owner of the Rench House Bed and Breakfast in Greenville, IL.

In addition to all of these things, Norma was most proud of being a healthcare worker for over 50 years.  During this time she was a nurse, worked for the Department of Health and did case management.

Norma was such an amazing, independent and inspiring woman that wore many hats throughout her lifetime.  She loved everybody and enjoyed socializing.  She had a smile that would shine for days.  Her light has touched so many people and was loved by so many.  She is forever going to be missed and will be waiting to see everyone again someday.

A Celebration of Life/Memorial Service will be held Saturday May 14, 2022 at 11:00 am at the First Baptist Church of Greenville, IL 218 E. South Ave, Greenville, IL 62246. Kutis South County services

She was more than a great grandmother to me she was my best friend I lived with her off and on pretty much my whole life one way or another and words cannot describe the type of love and confidence she had for each and everyone of her loved ones. She was not only my biggest fan but everyone of her children and grand children’s biggest fans she will be missed more and more as each day goes by till we meet again I love you with all my heart ❤️
