Bernardo “Bernie” Graycochea left this earth on January 12, 2024. He lived a long, happy life of 95 years.
Bernardo married the love of his life Julita in 1956. They were together for over 50 years and she passed away in 2010. Bernardo is survived by his six children: Narlie, Alma, Bernardo Jr., Ben Hur, Helen, and Marivic; twelve grandchildren: Mark, Julie Nicole, Justin, Vanessa, Kimberly, Alyssa, Valerie, Shannon Daniel, J.B., Gracie, Melissa, and Daryle; and eight great grandchildren: Allie, Uriah, Mila, Jimmy, AJ, Avelynn, Blake and Jolene.
Bernardo was born in a small town in the northern Philippines on September 24, 1928.
His parents were tobacco and mango farmers. Bernardo worked as an industrial arts teacher and then as a shipping manager for Amon Trading Co. until he retired.
He came to the United States in 1991 and worked as a bagger at Schnucks where he became employee of the month. After he retired from Schnucks, Bernardo enjoyed gardening, cooking, carpentry, singing karaoke and spending time with his grandkids and teaching all of them to drive.

Funeral from Kutis South County Chapel 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd. Saturday January 20, 9:30 am to Mary Mother of the Church for 10:00 am Mass. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation Friday 5-8 pm.
