Blanke, Joseph E. Jr. “Jay” fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, Thursday, December 7, 2017. Beloved husband for 64 years of Kathleen Blanke (nee Arms); loving father of Jane, Kathy, Mike and Bill (Dana) Blanke, Anne (Paul) Koetting and the late Barb Chouinard; dear father-in-law of Tom (Amy) Chouinard; dear grandfather of Katelyn, Justine, Mary, Becca, Grace, Theresa, Alex, Sam, Mollie, Joe, Jake, Peter and Danny; dear brother of Jerry (Suzanne) Blanke; dear brother-in-law of Margaret “Muggs” (Dave) Huch, Betts (the late Don) Giefer, Judy Arms, Fr. Mike Arms and the late Jim (Kay) and Tom Arms; dear uncle, cousin and friend.

Mr. Blanke was a long time member of the MAC Apollos, was active in the St. Vincent DePaul Society at St. Dominic Savio Parish. A graduate of Our Lady of Sorrows Grade School, CBC High School and Washington University with a degree in Chemical Engineering and proudly served in The U.S. Navy.

Services: Funeral from KUTIS AFFTON Chapel, 10151 Gravois, Monday, December 11, 10:30 a.m. to St. Dominic Savio Catholic Church for 11 a.m. Mass. Interment J.B. National Cemetery. Memorials to St. Anthony’s Hospice appreciated. Visitation Sunday, 3-7 p.m.
