  1. I am so very sorry for your loss. Don was one of the greatest men I’ve ever known. The love he had for his family is inspiring. I will miss the glow on his face when he would tell stories about his boys and his grandchildren. I will always cherish the memories of him and Snookie holding hands and swinging on the bench on their deck. He was a selfless and amazing person and I will miss him

  3. So sad to hear this. Don was a big part of Shrewsbury. Coach, dad, husband, referee, and volunteer. He was simply a quality man. Like many others I will miss him.

  9. My husband Kyle and I were blessed to call Don our neighbor for the past 7 years. What a great neighbor he was. I will miss when the weather is nice, going outside to see Don, whether he was gardening, sitting on the deck watching baseball, bbq-ing, or building things like balance beams for his granddaughters. He was always up to something, and always thinking of others. I will miss the way he treated my children as if they were his own. My kids called him Uncle Donny. We will miss seeing Don sitting with his Snookie on their swing and just going over to sit on their deck and chat, while Snookie runs to get the kids popsicles. Don became an extension of our family. Snookie- we love you and are always here. What a terrible loss but what a amazing angel we have gained.

  11. Rest in peace brother you have battled long and hard. I will never forget you helping me with the FBI showing up on my doorstep and I was 8 months pregnant with Angela. They were looking for my father-in-law and scared to death I called you and you came, that was who you were. When you joined the crime scene unit I teased you, photographing crime scenes and collecting evidence of unimaginable things as you had passed out in your younger days at the sight of your own blood. Pulling me over in your police car as a joke. Forever and always these things I will hold close.

  13. Don and “Snookie” are good friends of my parents, Gene and Jeanine Kamp. I really loved Don. He was always such a nice guy to me. Every once in a while My Dad and I would get together to play golf, and Don and I would always talk BLUES HOCKEY. He was always so cool and friendly. My parents have always have wonderful friends, and Don and his wife Snookie were no exception. He’s gonna be missed dearly by all his family and friends. He fought the good fight, and now GOD has another great one up there! Lately, especially in the last few months or so, Don would come in to the grocery store where I work. He’d say something silly to me as he went to pick up some scripts from the pharmacy and we’d talk for a few minutes. Now I won’t be able to see him with that smile and those silly jokes. I’ll miss you DON! I’ll see you again in Heaven with the best of them!

  19. Don ALWAYS had a smile on his face whenever we met him. He sat to my left at many Blues games over the decades. Always a gentleman & a passionate fan, win or loose. The 2019 Cup run was the best. A good family man as well, he will be missed. Condolences from Clancy and Tony Mueller. Rest in peace Don.

  21. Worked with Don at the Kutis City location. Always had a smile wether he was just starting the overnight shift, or I was relieving him in the morning. He was a contributing member of our team at Kutis. He will be missed.
