Tamela “Tammy” Denise Bougeno, born on September 24, 1963, in Owensboro, Kentucky, passed away on April 30, 2026, in Valley Park, Missouri.
Tammy grew up in Horse Branch, Kentucky, and was a longtime resident of the St. Louis area. She will be remembered for her deep love of family, especially her cherished role as a grandmother, and for the many hours she spent quilting—creating pieces that will be treasured for years to come.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Patti Ferguson Autry; her father, Johnnie Morris; her aunt, Betty Ferguson; and her father- and mother-in-law, Ken and Barb Bougeno.
She is survived by her husband, Steve Bougeno of Valley Park, Missouri; her son, Jonathon (Nikki) Bougeno of Trinity, Florida; her daughter, Ashton (Adam) Wofford of Valley Park, Missouri; and her beloved granddaughter, Aspen Rose. She is also survived by her sister, Shannon (Mark Houk) Morris of Horse Branch, Kentucky; her sister, Dana (Terry) Baggarly of Horse Branch, Kentucky; her stepmother, Marlene Henzman of Horse Branch, Kentucky; her brother, Barry (Christy) Autry of Centertown, Kentucky; her sister, Leigha (David) Beasley of Caneyville, Kentucky; and sisters, Tanya Autry of Owensboro, Kentucky, and Jamie Autry of Owensboro, Kentucky as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at The Beaver Dam City Hall in Beaver Dam, Kentucky from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

So sad we were close we could talk about anything, and we sure did. I remember one night we talked for a long time because it was storming . I loved tammy! I am at a loss for words. I will sorely miss our numerous phone calls about quilting, fabrics and grandchildren. You can now quilt away, Tammy, with perfect corners and straight seams.
