Boulicault

In Loving Memory

Boulicault, Daniel Stephen

December 14, 1955 – December 28, 2021

After more than five years spent living life to the fullest while defeating cancer, Danny closed his eyes for the last time on Tuesday morning.

Beloved husband of 40 years to Kathy Boulicault.  Beloved father of Angelina (Nick) Martinson and Vita Boulicault.  Beloved brother and brother-in-law to Sherrie (Gary) Gerhardt, Gary (Marianne) Boulicault, Cindy Boulicault, Kelly (John) Schmidt, Vince (Maggie) Flavin and Eileen (Jeremiah) Belcher.  Beloved uncle, cousin and friend to many.

Danny was one of a kind.  He was very generous with his time, treasure, and many talents.  He didn’t know a stranger, and his love of people and sense of humor were appreciated by all who knew him.  He loved to have fun – whether that be out on the lake in his boat, traveling cross-country with Kathy in their RV, dirt bike riding or just hanging out with friends and family.  His love for the Raiders was well known, and Raider Nation lost one of its biggest fans.

Danny held deep convictions and was a man of integrity.  A life-long Christian, Danny developed a much deeper and richer faith life as he got older.  He prayed daily for friends, family, our nation, and even strangers.  His laughter, smiling eyes and abundant love will be so dearly missed.

SERVICES: Family and friends may visit on Monday, January 3, 2022 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Kutis Funeral Home, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, St. Louis, MO.  The funeral mass for Danny will take place on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Assumption Catholic Church, 4725 Mattis Road, St. Louis, MO.  Interment will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.   Visitors are asked to wear face masks while indoors.

The family has requested that donations be made to Shriners Hospital for Children in lieu of flowers.

Condolences

  1. Uncle Danny was just not my Uncle and Godfather he was also like a father figure to me and took on that role when I needed him to, like walking me down the isle for my wedding. He was funny, loving, kind, helpful, crazy, just one of the best human beings in this world. We are going to miss you terribly but the memories will last a lifetime and the stories will always be told. Love you forever❤

  3. I always knew it was Danny at the door. NO ONE could hammer on a door like him. I would open the door and see his dear, smiling face. Always offering to help, always upbeat. It was the work of a moment to convulse a room with laughter. Well, he’s leading the angels in cheers for the Raiders with John Madden right next to him. We loved him and will miss him so.

  15. I have been friends with Dan since 1976 when we were stationed together in Germany. Thankfully, we managed to continue this friendship over many years, countless miles and occasional tragedies. Little did I know this was actually God’s plan. By being exposed to Danny’s sterling qualities, it allowed me to emulate some of these same qualities. I’ll never be the person he was but I am still better for it. His loved ones can take solace in that all the accolades written and spoken about him are absolutely true.
I cannot believe he is gone and will miss him forever.
P.S. On a lighter note—-was that guy one of the funniest people you ever met?

  19. Kathy- so very sorry to learn of “your Danny’s” loss. He was, like a friend mentioned, a stranger to no one. He was always willing to help out with anything and everything. We feel so blessed to have known Dan for a short time- he was a true “fighter” and the most “positive” man I had ever met. The neighborhood will miss him immensely. Much love to you and your family.

  21. Dan could brighten any day and created everlasting memories for many people. These are not common traits. He knew how to appreciate the smallest of things, and how to create big things out of nothing. I could literally write a novel from the memories he and my brother created with me, and for that I am so very grateful. Dan was SO funny, loving, caring, and a man of true integrity. That is hard to come by. It is an honor and a privelage to be a part of his life. Dan taught me a lot over the years, from how to drive (my insurance company might differ slightly in opinion), how to work, and how to be a good person. Rest easy my friend. You will live on in all of us.

  25. With sympathy my family send our condolences. I feel like Danny was more than a friend or neighbor. My brothers were always with the Boulicaults, either at our house or they were up at their house. Our families grew up together about 60 years starting on Reber. Great neighbor and friend who will be missed tremendously.

  39. I was a co worker of Dan’s so I didn’t know him as long or as well as some of you. We shared a love of boats and being on the water. We talked about boats a lot, but when he asked me to go with him to look at an old Century Resorter, I knew how passionate he had become. I am so glad he was able to enjoy working on that boat. I know it have him great pleasure.

Kathy is an alumna of DB and Dan supported their involvement above and beyond Angelina’s and Vita’s attendance. Both are very upbeat and positive, full of faith and contributors to the Church and larger community. May God bless him w eternal life and the family, especially Kathy and children, with consolation and peace during these days.
