92, Ballwin, Missouri, passed peacefully on September 20, 2016.

He was born in Harlan,  Kentucky on January 12, 1924, the son of James Blaine and Dora  Bowling.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by Margaret Bowling, his wife of 45 years, and Sylvia  Stewart Bowling, his wife of 19 years.  He is survived by his children Doug (Sue) Bowling, Libby (Mike) Hawkins, Dave (Brenda) Stewart,  Linda  Stewart Loos; and 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Gene proudly served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and the Korean Conflict. He worked at Westinghouse Electric for 41 years, retiring in 1987.

Services: Memorial gathering at Southminster Presbyterian Church 10126 E. Watson Road, Crestwood, MO on Friday, September 30. Family will receive friends at 11 a.m. with Services at 12 p.m.
