I will always remember Corey and the amazing memories we shared in Thailand and St. Louis. He was such a bright light to many and brought smiles and laughter everywhere he went.

  5. Though I have not seen Corey for a couple of years, the years of our friendship and months that we lived together in Tower Grove in a Victorian home on Shenendoah were some of my favorite moments of my life. He used to wake me up every morning playing Michael Jackson’s “Don’t stop til you get enough” and always hit the high notes. We would stay up in his giant man-sized crib of a bed and laugh, tell jokes, do gymnastics and sometimes actually fall asleep. We would dance in the sprinklers at the neighborhood school and talk to just about everyone we met in the neighborhood.

Corey could make you feel like you were singularly the most hilarious, beautiful and special human alive. He was always curious, eager to be with friends and make other people happier than they were on any other day.

His laughter was boisterous and loud and could shake the rafters. He made delicious Bundt cakes and would leave me funny notes everyday before I went to work. He loved Jack in the Box, especially because we lived down the street from one.

He was so curious, adventurous, thoughtful and silly.

My heart breaks at the thought of never seeing his thousand watt smile again, but I am so thankful that I have so many glittering memories of my dear friend.

When Corey Bradley Bowman loved you, it was like warmth from the sun.

I will miss my beautiful friend, but I am so grateful for his friendship.

    Corey, you’re a goddam unicorn.

  11. Life is too short and time is too precious. He lived life to the fullest and loved hard. We met at SSM years ago and he became a lil brother to me. So many laughs and memories to recount. He loved hard and was loved by many. He was a pure soul and I pray he is at peace. My forever unicorn and friend. Wished we could have reconnected when you reached out in November. Corey has and will forever hold a special place in my heart. Prayers and condolences to the entire Bowman family and the many friends who loved Corey❤️!

  25. Corey was magical. My memories of Corey are mostly from adventures in Thailand between Bangkok, Koh Tao, the hotel called VIP tower that served as our campus housing, and our wildly complicated return flight following that nasty accident. Over the years I’ve frequently thought of Corey, and living in DC I thought he would end up here eventually (considering his studies in political science, and the fact that I work across the street from the capitol). I’m heartbroken knowing we will never reconnect, but I know it is much harder to process for those who stayed close. Corey, you were loved by many. Somewhere in a box I still have your bloody copy of Jurassic Park that I always thought I would have a chance to return.

  27. My precious Corey.
We used to say “we were cosmically thrown together”.
Our age gap and sibling like relationship was beautiful, complex, loving, silly, but most of all truthful. I love you so much. You made me laugh like no one else could and brought a smile to everyone you met. You were a blessing and your love for life was insatiable.
I will never forget us reading all the Harry Potter books together and crying together at the movies.
So many sayings and silly quotes will always remain with me.
Your my little jelly bean and I love you so.

  31. Our deepest sympathy to the family. Corey was another one of our children who we loved having over at our home. He brought laughter and happiness into our home and shared his life with us. We will always cherish the memories we have and especially the one where he came over to show us his prom attire – he was dressed in a zoot suit and looking so grand. Only Corey could pull it off. He was a beautiful, genuine, and loved person. Rest in peace Corey and show everyone in heaven that grand style you always had.
