Mark Edward Branaman, age 52, died unexpectedly, in his home May 16, 2017. He was born on October 18, 1964 in Saint Joseph MO. His parents, Dean Branaman and Ruth Branaman, and his older brother Robert Branaman cherished him throughout his childhood years. He met his future wife Stacey at Missouri State University in 1982 and they were happily married for 29 years. After working at a number of different business he started a career of 21 years with Paychex. His much beloved son was born January 5th, 1994 in Saint Louis and named after Mark’s father. A lifelong runner, he maintained a lasting friendship with his cross country friends from college and participated in numerous races and marathons. He was a welcomed face in Boyscout Troop 778 that he joined as an assistant scoutmaster during the time his son was in the troop. A lover of the outdoors, he enjoyed visiting his brother’s family in the Colorado mountains and completed two 50 mile hikes on the Buffalo river and Appalachian trails. He is survived by his wife Stacey Branaman, son Dean Branaman, mother Ruth Branaman, brother Robert Branaman brothers and sisters-in-laws, and his many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 3:30-5:30 on Friday, May 19 at Kutis Funeral home 10151 Gravois Rd, St. Louis, MO 63123 with a short memorial service ending by 6:00 afterward. In lieu of flowers contributions to Boy Scouts of America appreciated. His good humor, thoughtful demeanor, and way with words will be missed by all who knew him.
