Brewster

In Loving Memory

Brewster Sr., Ronald L.

January 21, 1939 - September 23, 2025

Ronald Luke Brewster Sr., age 86, of St Louis MO, passed away on Tuesday September 23, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and a suspicious number of half-finished projects.

Born on January 21, 1939, in St Louis, MO. Ron was the beloved son of Daniel and Ollie Brewster. From an early age, he showed a knack for telling stories that got longer with each retelling, fixing things with duct tape and a prayer, and making people laugh when they least expected it.

Ron spent roughly 34 years working as a foreman at Lincoln Engineering, where he was known for his dedication, kindness, and ability to make work bearable with well-timed sarcasm. Outside of work, he enjoyed harassing people with dad jokes, morning coffee with his Hardees crew, and pretending to understand how the internet works.

He is survived by his loving wife Ruthanne Brewster, crazy children Michelle Giolat, Ronald Luke Brewster Jr., Melissa McIntyre, Eugene Brewster, stepson Robert Brown, and the mounds of grandchildren and great-grandchildren Kyle [Gabrielle and Kayleigh], Danny [Ava], Ryan [Lily], Christopher, Amber [Summer and Colby], Sierra, Tala, Whyatt, Lila, David, and Eli who will miss his dad jokes, and the way he could turn even the most mundane moment into a memory worth keeping.

A funeral will be held on October 4, 2025, at Kutis Funeral Home 10151 Gravois Rd. St. Louis, MO. 63123. Guests are encouraged to wear whatever makes you feel fabulous (or at least not itchy) because Ron would’ve approved of comfort over couture.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you do something kind for someone else today—buy a stranger a coffee, tell a bad joke, or finally call your mom. That’s what Ron would’ve wanted.

Though he may be gone, the stories, laughter, and love he gave us will echo for generations, probably louder than necessary.

Services: Kutis Affton Chapel, 10151 Gravois Rd. St. Louis, Mo. 63123. Visitation on Saturday, October 4, 2025, 10 a.m to 12 p.m. Service at 12 p.m. Interment at Chapel Hill Cemetery.

Condolences
