  1. Our sincere sorrow at the passing of Bill. Bill and Ellen’s home and hearts were open to all; with many celebrations and much laughter. His delight with his family was so sincere and loving … a lesson for all.
The best thing remembered happened 24 years ago at the wedding reception of Chris and Megan Hegger. He and Ellen were one of the last couples on the floor at a “dance off” of how long the guests had been married. I remembered Ellen giving the best advice ever on how to sustain a marriage which was “talk and communicate with each other”. They left such an impression on all in attendance, and, believe me, after just 20 years of marriage, this advice still rings so real and true. We loved him.
