  1. On behalf of the chaplain’s department of Friendship Village, we offer our deepest condolences to the family. Marion was a light to others around her and as her light has faded on this side of heaven, may the lights she ignited continue to shine brightly. May God bless you and comfort you in your time of grief.

  2. Always the sweetest, I will never forget how she walked up the hill at Crestwood Park to come see me when we had met for some friends get together. I’ve known her since my late high school days and wish the family all of God’s blessings during these hard days. Heaven is a sweeter place now.

  3. I met Marion through her granddaughter Ann when Ann brought her and Marions friends Dottie and Dorothy to work at Orlando’s Catering. They were the set up ladies and also known as the golden girls!

These three ladies with their class, wit, awesome work ethic, and charm brightened our day!

When Ann left Orlando’s I would occasionally get together with her and Marion for dinner to catch up with gossip and lots of laughter! Marion and Dottie even attended my 40th bday party to which they were a hit with all my friends! I want to be just like them, everyone commented!

Ann let me know when Marion went to live at Friendship Village and right away I said I wanted to call her to chat a bit. Ann had mentioned that her grandmother was having some memory issues and I could tell when I called her and she told me my voice sounded familiar but she couldn’t remember my name. Despite that I was able to make her laugh and as always her laughter brought back all those wonderful memories that I have carried with me and will always remember her saying “Jim dear”!

Rest in peace Marion and thank you for the memories! Say hi to Dottie and Dorothy!
