Brinkmann

In Loving Memory

Brinkmann, Harold J. “Hal”

Brinkmann, Harold J “Hal”, 66, died peacefully at home surrounded by family on Saturday, November 27, 2021 after a long, brave battle with cancer.  He was the best friend and Beloved Husband of 43 years to Elizabeth (nee Ivanowski). Loving father to Sarah, Megan (Jeramy) Freeman, Harold (Heather). Adored Paw-Paw of Amaya Freeman. Dear brother to Tom and Cindy. Dear Brother-in-law to Jeanne, Bill , Richard & Doris, Mary & Mike, Susan, John & Paula, Ben. Dear uncle, nephew, cousin, business owner and friend to many. He was preceded in death by his parents Harold F. and Virginia R. Brinkmann, sister Katherine Plumb, niece and Goddaughter Kristina Plumb and nephew Dawson Ivanowski.

Hal owned Brinkmann’s Jewelery, serving the Affton community and beyond for 30 years.  To say that he loved his business is an understatement! It was such a big part of his life and he adored everything about it. He loved the craft. He loved ALL of his customers and they loved him. He also loved his farm in Gerald, Missouri spending endless hours making it just what he wanted. He loved to fish, visit microbreweries, enjoy craft beer and travel. But most of all he loved his family!!

Visitation at Kutis Affton Chapel, 10151 Gravois Rd, Monday, November 29th, 4-9pm. Funeral Mass celebrated at Seven Holy Founders Church, 6737 S. Rock Hill Rd on Tuesday, November 30th at 10am. Internment at Resurrection Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Hal’s name to the Siteman Cancer Center; 4921 Parkview Place, St. Louis, MO 63110.

  1. Liz,
I am so sorry to hear of Hal’s passing. Not sure if you knew this, but I would go to his shop for jewelry repair for many years.
You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

  21. I’m so sorry to hear of Hal’s death. He designed my wedding ring. When I commented that I’d take it off to do yard work, he said “No! Jewelry is meant to be worn and enjoyed. I can always make it look new again!” And he did – several times.
