Beverly Lorain Brown (nee Casey) was born February 1st, 1943 in St. Louis, MO to Elaine and Brian Casey. She and her sister, Carolyn, soon danced their way into hearts as The Celebrated Casey Sisters of St. Louis!
After graduating Roosevelt High School, Beverly attended Washington University night school while working as an Assistant Executive Secretary at the Federal Reserve Bank. She then went to The University of Missouri – Columbia where she worked with Professor Paul Fisher to raise funds to pass legislation for the Freedom of Information Act.
In 1966, she married William N. Brown, III and had two children, William N. Brown IV and Rebecca. Together, the four of them nurtured their love of collecting through garage sales and “Funny Stores.” Beverly loved dolls and rescued many to fix up and love. She volunteered at schools, led scout troops, and took up tap dancing again as an adult– performing all over St. Louis. Her smile was as big as her heart and everyone knew her by her signature black hair bow, which she said was “an ode to her second childhood.”
Beverly joined her beloved husband and sister on June 15th, 2026. She is survived by her son (Bill Brown), daughter and son-in-law (Becky and Steven Lugovsky), her brother and sister-in-law (Bob and Diane Brown), nieces (Wendi, Anna, and Lauren), nephew (Bobby), their families and her many wonderful friends.
Beverly always said “You gotta go through it to get to it.” May she fly free and have fun.
