It is with great sadness that the family of Shirley Jean Brown announces her passing on Friday, October 3, 2025 at the age of 83. She was born on July 12, 1942, in Saint Louis, Missouri. She was a dedicated classroom volunteer for the Lindbergh School District. Shirley was an active leader in the Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts. She loved quilting, cooking, singing and spoiling her grandchildren. She also adored her dogs. The neighborhood kids and dogs all knew her house as the place to stop by for a delicious treat.
Shirley will be lovingly remembered by her son, Douglass “Ted” Brown (Carol Badstebner); and her daughter in law, Cindy Brown. She will be fondly remembered by her four grandchildren; Megan (Alex) Sutton, Heather (Brennan) Brown-Bukaty, Keller Badstebner and Koen Badstebner;
her sister in law, Marcia Berberich; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Foster Edward “Ed” Brown; her daughter, Debbi Rapoff; her son, Foster James “Jamie” Brown; her sister, Jacky Schaefer; her brother, Douglas Schaefer; and her brother in law, Karl Berberich.
Services: Arrangements were handled by Kutis-Affton. A private family service will be held.
