Loretta Bumb2

In Loving Memory

Bumb, Loretta Mae (nee Anderson)

August 29, 1934 - January 6, 2024

89, born August 29, 1934, Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, passed away on January 6, 2024 in St. Louis.  Proud 1953 McKinley High grad and cheerleader.

Beloved wife of her high school sweetheart, the late Michael Bumb and loving daughter of the late Percy Anderson and Opal (David) Greer.  Cherished mother of Debby (Mark) Bussen, John (Cathy) Bumb, and Terry (John) Trunko.  Loving grandmother of Kurt (Jacqui) Deschler, Craig (Ann) Bussen, Kimberly (Joe) Ritchie, Alex Bumb, Ellie (Nick) Fiquette, Matthew Trunko and Adam Trunko.  Treasured great-grandmother “Ole Ma Ma” of Gabe and Mason Pummill, Connor and Ryan Bussen, Drake and Lola Ritchie.  Dear sister of Betty Azar, Sharon Mitchell and the late Margie Wofford. She was a wonderful aunt and loyal friend to many.

Our sweet mom loved her family dearly including her dogs and pets, was an exceptional homemaker, enjoyed dancing, gardening and painting house interiors.  She was beautiful on the inside and out, loved to make people laugh and never knew a stranger.  She lived her life with a strong faith and quiet strength and dignity until she peacefully passed into Heaven in the arms of the angels.  She will be sorely missed by many.

SERVICES: Visitation Tuesday, January 16th, 4:00 – 8:00 PM. Funeral at KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL (10151 Gravois Rd 63123) on Wednesday, January 17th at 11:00 AM. Interment at Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Humane Society of Missouri, 1201 Macklind Ave., St. Louis, MO 63110 would be greatly appreciated.    https://hsmo.org/

  2. Mrs. Bumb was my second mom. Loretta always took the time to talk to me as an adult even though I was a child. She was always there for me no matter how busy she was with her 3 children. A true adult role model for me. She taught me responsible pet care with her big white dogs and cat. She will be dearly missed.
