Blake-Buol

In Loving Memory

Buol, Blake William

25, passed away on March 22, 2021 in South St. Louis. He came into the world at 10:12 pm on February 20th, 1996. Blake was the son of Amy (Tony) Smith and Gary (Meagan) Buol.  Blake graduated from St. John Vianney High School in Kirkwood and was pursuing a career in computer engineering.

“And can it be that in a world so full and busy the loss of one creature makes a void so wide and deep that nothing but the width and depth of eternity can fill it up!” – Charles Dickens

Blake was a kind soul who never met a stranger.  Blake will forever be remembered for his independent spirit and sense of humor.  His love of hockey was second only to his love of family and friends.  Blake became a big brother at age 9 and was so excited to have a baby brother. Little did he know that he would have a total of 5 younger siblings to look up to him. He began playing the guitar around age 9 and found happiness in strumming to rock and alternative songs. His heart was so pure and kind and showed in his sincere love of animals. Any dog or cat in Blake’s view was loved and petted.

Blake is survived by his loving family, including son, Jordan; and siblings, Brandon, Bailee, Mason, Clay, Mackenzy and Cambell; grandparents, Pat Buol, Cindy Boeckelmann and David Cook; and cherished aunts, uncles and cousins.  Blake was predeceased by his beloved grandfather, Jack Buol.

Visitation to celebrate Blake’s life will be held on Sunday, March 28th from 3 pm to 8 pm at Kutis Funeral Home located at 10151 Gravois Road, St. Louis, MO 63123.

Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to ACPD, 12430 Tesson Ferry Road, St. Louis, MO 63128.

  1. Blake and I were very close a few years ago and he helped me through a very hard time in my life. It hurts to see this, he was a very talented and happy person. He brought a smile to my face every single day. He will be missed.

  7. He is with the Lord.

I went to high school with Blake for 2 years and we didn’t talk much. Just seeing a bit on Facebook from someone I know to be delightful saying good bye to her friend, I share a bit of the scripture.

. 14In the same way, your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should perish.

The gift is eternal life through the Son, and we know Blake to have had it and is bound for glory.

  15. Gary, Meagan and family, I am in total shock over this, as many are but we can only hope that Blake is feeling free now. I think always about how much time Collin and Blake spent together. All the hockey games, football games and so much time spent at your house and Pat’s house swimming. Our hearts are with all of you , Wheeler Family

  17. I’m so incredibly heartbroken. I never met Blake in person, but he was friends with my boyfriend, Brent, on Xbox, and we ended up talking a lot. You are truly right when you say “he’s never met a stranger.” He was so open and honest, and truly kind. I absolutely loved getting text messages from him asking how I was doing and just chit chatting about life. I’m going to miss that so much. I was just thinking about messaging him the other day because I hadn’t heard from him in a while. I’m so truly sad to hear of his passing. His beautiful soul will be incredibly missed by so many. May he forever rest in peace. ❤️
