  1. To my dear family of my cousin, Gwen:
I did not get to know your spouse, Randy, & your children. I knew you as a child growing up and how blessed we were for our parents; Auggie & Iris; Dallas “Sonny”, & Jenny to have been so close. We as children to them played together often. We; Pam, Vickie (self), Kim & Angie (deceased) played at Gwen & Kathy’s home in Valley Park on Galdiator, our home & we can’t forget Goose Creek. We enjoyed our time together as children & we will never forget those good times. From our family to yours, we Love you all. GOD BLESS! The Thurman’s to The Queens & The Burgdorfs.

  2. To Randy, Kathy, Cheryl and Family,
I want to offer my sincerest condolences.
Though its been a while since we last seen each other. Life has a funny way to pull us apart. We grow older, have our own families and go different direction in life. No matter the time or location, you’ll forever occupy a special place in my heart. For the memories we’ve shared can never be taken away.
    Sending all my love 💓

  5. I met the Burgdorf family in a most unusual manner. Randy was crew chief for our racing team based at the dealership in which he pursued his career. Racing is a demanding and immersive undertaking, especially when the team is attempting to win a divisonal championship, which we did, in the mid-1980s.

I’ll never forget Gwen as our major calming influence. Her support of her husband was that of the legendary wife we read about who is behind most male historic figures. I had only recently learned the extent of her illness, and while the news saddens me, at least we have the assurance that she is in a better place now, and released from her ordeal. Godspeed to Gwendolen and God bless my former boss Randy and the entire Burgdorf family.
