Burgess, Larry Albert

November 21, 1937 - May 2, 2026

Larry Albert Burgess, of St. Louis, MO, passed away on May 2, 2026 at the age of 88.  Beloved husband of 43 years to Joyce Burgess; cherished son of the late George and Virginia Burgess; loving father to Robert (Julie) Burgess and James Burgess; Stepfather to Deborah (Rodger) Marty and Dana (Todd) Dye; grandfather to Amelia (Cameron) Conrad and Maj. Andrew (Maj. Ashley) Marty, USAF; beloved great-grandfather to Bridget Conrad, Adrian Marty and Aubrey Marty; dear brother to Jack, Jim, Bill and Ernie Burgess; widower to Sylvia Burgess.  Larry was a proud veteran, having served a long career in the United States Air Force.  He retired as a Master Sergeant (MSgt) having served in locations across the globe, most notably Vietnam.  Larry was an avid reader and read daily.  Military history was always an enjoyable topic for him as well as current events. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
