Richard was a Navy pilot who flew in the Vietnam war and was active duty military for 10 years. After leaving the military, Richard flew cargo planes for several different companies before finishing his career at UPS. Although flying planes may have been his first love, his grandkids became his life. He was simply the best PaPa ever. Beloved husband of Sharon Burt (nee McFarland); loving father of Alan Burt, Adam Burt, Shawn (Heidi) Graves and Shannon (Mary Bridges) Graves; adoring grandfather of Katie Graves, Colin Graves, Brendan Graves and Brodie Burt; dear brother-in-law of Phyllis Massey, Howard (Joann Martin) Massey and Mark (Lisa Kline) Massey. Our dearest uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend to many.
Visitation at Kutis Affton Chapel 10151 Gravis Rd. 63123 on Friday, April 3 from 9:30 am. until Funeral Service time at 11:30 am. Interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
