“The Best Mary Ever”
Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Sunday, November 10th, 2024.
Beloved daughter of the late Gary and Della (nee Wilkinson) Busby; loving sister of Rhonda (Wayne) Keen, Joan (Johnny) Dawson, and the late Carol Busby; adoring aunt of Robert Keen, Lauren (Steve) Ashe, Nicole (Drew) Phillips, and Jessica (Joe) York; cherished great aunt of Emma and Sophia Ashe, Cadence and Leo Phillips, and Jordayn and the late Haylee York; our dearest cousin and friend to many.
Mary Busby was a devoted and proud aunt who held a special place in the lives of her nieces, nephew, great-nieces, and great-nephew. If you had the pleasure of meeting her, you too may have felt like one of her beloved family members—because Mary’s warmth and generosity knew no bounds. She never missed an opportunity to celebrate another person, and she kept Hallmark in business with her endless supply of unique cards. For every milestone, big or small, Mary made sure her loved ones felt cherished with a handwritten, mailed card that was as thoughtful as it was timely. As Haylee would say, she was simply the best Mary ever. Her cards and notes were treasured, a testament to her unwavering thoughtfulness and the joy she brought to everyone around her. Mary’s legacy of thoughtfulness will forever live on in the hearts of those lucky enough to call her “Aunt Mary.”
SERVICES: Funeral at KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL (10151 Gravois Rd., 63123) on Saturday, November 16th at 11:00 AM. Visitation on Friday from 4:00 – 8:00 PM. Private interment at Bellefontaine Cemetery.

My deepest sympathy to Mary’s family. I’m grateful for her and the family’s love, kindness and friendship over the years. ❤️ May God comfort this family through this difficult time. Mary is now at rest with her parents, grandparents, and sister. She is at peace.
Mary was a wonderful person. She had a big heart. She was always kind, caring and thoughtful. We thought the world of her.
I worked in the Pharmacology Dept with Mary. She was such a lovely person, always ready to chat and brighten your day. She was a really kind person,, who thought the world of her nieces and nephews. So sorry to hear the sad news. I lost touch with her over the last few years when I retired.
So very sorry for your family’s loss! I will miss seeing her! Mary was such a sweet soul❤️

My sincere condolences to Mary’s family. I worked at SLU in the Biochemistry department for many years and knew Mary very well. She was always so kind and had a sweet demeanor. I’m so very sorry for your loss.
We didn’t know Mary very well, but she seemed to be a very kind person. May God be with all of you today as you put her at rest prayers for the family and friends.
Mary was the most pleasant person even when she was in pain herself. She always had a smile for you and ask about you!
Heaven gained an angel!
I have missed Mary ever since she left SLU. I used to just stop in to see her for no real reason – just to talk. I loved her office full of wonderful little things. I have her copy of “Starry Night” that she had in her office. It hangs over my desk and I look at it every time I sit down and I think of Mary and smile. I will keep doing that! I will miss Mary very much. A sweet and caring person. This world is diminished by her loss.
