Beloved wife of 45 years to Walter H. Busch of Ballwin, MO, passed peacefully away on October 16, 2026. Dorothy was the daughter of Edward Besch and Ruby (Gray); sister of Carol, Edward, Ron, and the late Shirley, Joan, and Patricia; dear mother of Robert, Daniel, Gary, and the late Richard Barden; and, of Walter E. (Sandy), Daniel, and the late David (Xuan) Busch; grandmother of Ryan, Ashleigh, Merril, Makayla, and Hailey, and the late Tarah; and, great-grandmother of Reece, Luna, Mary, and Poppy.
When she wasn’t busy raising and loving children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she loved cooking for the family, entertaining, and playing bridge. She was a 20-year member of Resurrection Lutheran Church, Sappington, MO, who often volunteered for church events. After church was a favorite time to enjoy lunch out, but she also enjoyed lunchtime socializing any day of the week she could. In the little quiet time she had, she was a voracious reader.
She worked seventeen years for Gundecker Realty and volunteered many years with Unit 397, Creve Coeur American Legion Auxiliary, serving two years as their president.
Dorothy peacefully left this world to join Walter, Richard, Tarah, her parents and siblings and wanted to thank Accent Care Hospice team assisting her in this during her final months.
Visitation will be held at Kutis Funeral Home, 10151 Gravois Road, St. Louis, MO 63123 on Wednesday, October 21 from 4-7 pm. with Funeral Service on Thursday, October 22 at 10:00 am. Burial will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
