JoAnn Cain

In Loving Memory

Cain, JoAnn (nee Cochran)

August 14, 1942 - December 26, 2024

JoAnn Cain, 82, of High Ridge, MO, went to her Heavenly Home on Dec 26, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

She was the daughter of the late R.B. Cochran and Stella (Carden) Cochran.

JoAnn was a devoted Mother, Nonnie, Sister, Aunt, Cousin, and Friend whose faith and love left a lasting mark on everyone she met. Her life was a testament to her unwavering commitment to her family, church, and Savior.

Born on Aug 14, 1942 in Holland, MO. JoAnn graduated from high school at the remarkable age of 16, setting the tone for a life defined by determination and grace. In her professional life, she broke barriers as the first female buyer in the automotive industry, paving the way for women in a male-dominated field.

Beyond her career, JoAnn dedicated her heart and soul to her faith and family. She was a prayer warrior, diligently reading her Bible through yearly for over 40 years, and she lived each day striving to make Heaven her home. She cherished her roles in the church and was a source of encouragement and spiritual strength to all who knew her.

JoAnn had a gift for honesty, and you never asked her opinion unless you were ready for the truth. She never held back how she felt, and her candid wisdom often left those around her laughing, thinking, and appreciating her sincerity.

Her love for her family was the centerpiece of her life, and she absolutely adored her one and only grandchild, Kami. She cherished every moment they spent together, and her pride in Kami was evident to everyone who knew her.

She also had a special place in her heart for the underdog, veterans, children, animals, and, of course, the St. Louis Cardinals. Her compassion and love for others inspired those around her to live more fully and love more deeply.

She is survived by her daughter Karen Fox (Mike) and granddaughter Kami Fox-Doyle (Mason), who will carry on her legacy of faith, love, and perseverance.  She is also survived by her beloved brother, James Cochran (Janit). She was preceded in death by sister Amma Wurm (Jim) .

SERVICES: A celebration of her life and faith will be held at Solid Rock Church. Visitation on Sunday, Dec 29th, will begin at four o’clock, followed by the service on Monday at eleven o’clock. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Solid Rock Church, 899 Gravois Rd, Fenton, MO.

JoAnn lived a life full of love, courage, and faith. Her family takes comfort in knowing she is no longer in pain and at peace in her heavenly home, reunited with loved ones and surrounded by the glory of her Savior.
