May-1

In Loving Memory

Campise, Julie May

Was joined with Christ on April 5th 2021. Like her father, Tom May, Julie left this world peacefully and now lives eternally in Heaven. Julie was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, friend, wife, mother, and nana.

Julie is survived by her mother Joan (May), her loving husband Joseph, her children Joseph and Madeline and her granddaughter Molly (Drew Krause); her siblings Steve May (Jennie), Paula May, Nick May and twin Chrissy (Jim Barton).

Julie was an incredible athlete and coach and was passionate about basketball.

Julie kept her lifelong friends close to her heart, especially Stacy, Kathy, Tracy, Theresa, Julia and Mary.

The most important thing in Julie’s life was her family, especially her granddaughter Molly. Molly and Julie have an unbreakable bond and are the best of friends.

Julie knew everyone having been a server for 30+ years and always put a smile on her customers faces. She made everyone feel special.

Julie will be remembered as the matriarch of Indian Hills Swim Club, her favorite place in the world, where you could always find her soaking up the sunshine.

She is loved, she is missed, and she is forever in our hearts.

A memorial mass will be held on April 17th, 2021, 9:00 am, at St. Gabriel the Archangel Church.

We will celebrate Julie’s life at Failoni’s Resturant starting at 4:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Breast Cancer Research or a charity of your choice.

Condolences

  11. Julie was truly one of kind. In grade school Julie was my partner in crime, not that I needed much help. Years later (early 90’s) we were at an adult swim party @ Indian Hill and she persuaded me to put on a grass skirt, a coconut top & a lei and dance around. Julie is pretty much the only person in the world that could have gotten me to do something like this, lol. I will miss Julie’s wonderful smile and her great sense of humor. Julie will be missed 🙁 . Prayers to the May and Campise Families.

  17. My condolences to Julie’s family. Julie was a firecracker of a great person. Her spunk, caring and compassion was a unique blend for this dynamite person. She spoke her truth and was a breath of fresh air. She had endless energy and was always eager to care about and help others. She was so great to be around. She loved her family so dearly and Molly was so dear to her heart. I know that Julie fought so hard to beat this monster of a disease and all that stemmed from it so that she could stay with her family. She was such a bright light and I will truly miss her. IHSC will not be the same without her. RIP my friend.

  25. Julie, you were and always will be one of my absolute favorite people that I have ever had the joy to work with. You always seemed to have a way of making everything fun and made me laugh like no other. We had many talks about life throughout the course of our Monkeys years. I am so happy that we spoke briefly a few months back. You will forever be missed. I will be praying for the strength and comfort of your family and close friends. You were truly one of a kind. Your smile, go get em’ attitude, your kindness, and your memory will never be forgotten. We love you.

  27. I love Julie Campise! Although I didn’t see her as much as I did when we were pool-mates at Indian Hills, I consider her one of my closest friends. I will always remember her forever – she was one of a kind. I admire her love and dedication to her family. Her love always shined through with everyone she knew. I am so lucky and blessed that we texted (with what I did not know would be the day before she passed) and she said ‘Love u tons’. I cherish that!
Condolences to her family and may she rest in peace.
