Marietta is survived by her daughters, Anna (Michael) McKindley and Susan (John) Graham; her son, Paul V. (Gina) Cantagi; her grandchildren, Madison (Saranda), Jared (Natalie), Kaylina, Adriana, Vincent, Erica, Erin, Julie, Justin, Corey and Tyler; her great-grandson, Beau; her brothers, Mike McGrew and Paul (Karen) McGrew; and many other family members and friends.
Marietta enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals and Jeopardy, and she recently became a fan of Judge Judy. She found joy in doing crossword puzzles, playing Words With Friends and sharing her recliner with Angel, her sweet kitty. She loved watching her grandchildren play volleyball and wrestle and she was so proud of all of her grandchildren and their accomplishments. Marietta’s greatest source of happiness was spending time with her family and she treasured every moment with them.
Marietta will be remembered for her positivity, her wonderful sense of humor, and the joy she brought to those around her. Even during the most challenging times in her life, and there were many, she maintained her ability to find something to smile about and never lost the spirit that made her so special.
Her absence will leave a tremendous void in the lives of her family. The loss of her presence, her laughter, her humor, and the love she gave so freely will be felt deeply, and she will be missed more than words can express.
Visitation will take place Saturday, August 29, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Kutis-Affton Chapel, 10151 Gravois Road, St. Louis, MO 63123. A memorial service for Marietta will be held at 11:00 a.m. Interment will immediately follow the service at Sunset Memorial Park, 10180 Gravois Road, Affton, Missouri 63123.
