Beloved husband of Rebecca Carpenter (nee Plack); loving father of Alison (Bill) Fick and David Carpenter; adoring grandfather of Audrey Fick and Maxwell Carpenter. Our dearest brother-in-law, uncle, grand-uncle, cousin and friend to many.
Funeral Services and Interment were held in private. In lieu of flowers contributions to Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital Cardinal Glennon Children’s Foundation | St. Louis, MO appreciated.
Loved this man. Jim was married to my 1st cousin, Becky. May the peace of Christ be with Jim, and the family. I’m keeping you in my prayers, especially Becky, Alison, and David. Keep the faith. Love, Pat
I met Mr Carpenter where i worked and he received his treatments. He was always so positive. I looked forward to him coming before my desk. He spoke so joyously about his family and especially his grandchildren. I would ask how he was and he would always tell me. He was great and about something he was doing and he got a little winded and he had to sit down, but things were great. He was so positive all the time he had great plans for Max he was so proud of his son. He adored his granddaughter. He was just positive positive positive person and I will always be so thankful to have known Mr. Carpenter.

Mr. Carpenter was my favorite teacher. He taught me so much and I knew he cared for all of his students. My prayers are with you all.
