In Loving Memory

Carter, James Sherwood

83, of Saint Louis, Missouri, sadly passed away March 18, 2023. He is survived by his daughter-in-law Patty Carter, grandsons Dan (Lauren) Carter, and John (Alison) Carter, great granddaddy of Jackson and Millie. Preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Ann Carter (nee Chitwood) and son, Ed Carter.

Sherb aka “Daddy” worked as a welder for 43 years at Industrial Engineering & Equipment Company (INDEECO) prior to his retirement in 2002.  He loved camping and deer hunting with his family and good friends.  He liked a good party, a good meal and loved making people laugh. He had a hearing impairment his entire life, but never let that stop him from enjoying life to the fullest. Father, father-in-law, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, brother-in-law, friend to many. He will be missed by all.
Sherwood gifted his body to the St. Louis University School of Medicine.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
