It is with great sadness that the family of Janet Sue Cassani (nee Eberhardt) announce her passing. Janet died peacefully at home on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at the age of 68.
Janet was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul Cassani; her parents, James Edward Eberhardt and Jacqueline Lee Eberhardt (née McGlothlan); and her brother, James Edward Eberhardt (and his late wife, Pat).
She is survived by her brother, John Richard (Cate) Eberhardt and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews in both the Cassani and Eberhardt families.
Janet had a long career as a dental assistant and often spoke fondly of her coworkers and the friends she made throughout the years.
Janet was an avid animal lover and found joy in caring for her pets. She also cherished spending time outdoors, especially fishing and camping with her beloved husband, Paul. These adventures together brought her much joy, and she often reminisced about their peaceful moments by the lake and nights under the stars. She will be remembered for her warmth, humor, and fierce loyalty to the people she loved.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Kutis Funeral Home, 10151 Gravois Road, on April 25 from 1:00–4:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of Missouri.
