In Loving Memory

Chaney, Laverne Margaret

Laverne Margaret Chaney, of St Louis, Missouri, passed away on May 10, 2020 at the age of 91. Laverne enjoyed spending time with her family, crocheting prayer shawls and afghans for others, quilting, reading books and watching her St Louis Cardinals. She was a devoted catholic and attended St Matthias Catholic Church. She worked 26 years in the Mehlville School District transportation department driving a school bus where she enjoyed her daily interaction with the students on her bus routes.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Chaney and daughters Margaret Stolle and Donna Mullins.

She is survived by her son Bob (Margie) Chaney, daughter Barb (Kent) Iliff, son-in-law Art Stolle, grandchildren Art R Stolle, Kate (Greg) Sangiolo, Bob (Lauren) Chaney, Ellen Chaney and Brett Iliff, great grandchildren Bethany, Adam and Christopher Sangiolo, Suzie and Colin Chaney, siblings Richard (Marvella) Lehmkuhl and Rita Czako and sister-in-law Ruth Molnar.

Preceded in death by siblings Marie (Ted) Sienkiewicz, Marcella (Warren) Blackwood, Doris (August) Zimmermann and Tom Lehmkuhl and brother-in-laws Al Czako, Jack (Dorothy) Chaney and Ken Molnar.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Marfan Foundation marfan.org

Due to current coronavirus guidelines, visitation and services will be private.
