Donna Chapman, most recently a seven-year resident of a St. Charles nursing home, died May 15, 2017, at St. John’s Mercy Hospital, Creve Coeur, Missouri.

Mrs. Chapman was born Donna Marlene Seeley on March 15, 1934, in Leavenworth, Kansas, a daughter of Manuel & Charlotte Williams Seeley.  She was a 1952 graduate of Leavenworth High School, Leavenworth, Kansas.

Mrs. Chapman worked in a number of clerking positions in auto sales, insurance & home building.  Her career highlight was becoming the first woman underwriter of Siebels Bruce Insurance Company, Orlando, Florida.

She was preceded in death by her parents, infant son Dane, sister Darlyne, & grandson Nadr.

She is survived by sons David (Marcia) of Port Orchard, WA, & Dean (Mary) of Wildwood, MO; grandsons Dane (Devon) of Poulsbo, WA & Nur (Mary Alison) of Decatur, GA; & three wonderful great-granddaughters.

Visitation will be at 10 AM to noon, Saturday, May 20, at Kutis Funeral Home – Affton Chapel, 10151 Gravois, St. Louis.  Service will be conducted at noon by the Rev. Linda Krueger, followed by graveside service at Park Lawn Cemetery.

The family expresses special thanks for her close friendship to childhood friend Barbara Hamilton Aldridge, her daughter Lori & husband Albert; church members Linda & Howard Krueger; Kathy Quenelle, who festively decorated her room for every holiday & season of the year for seven years; her namesake niece, Donna Denise (Baumgarten) Shetty; & cousin Dawn (Roesch) Wyatt.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to Twin Rivers Worship Center – St. Peters Campus.
