  1. What an incredible man, Charlie was a gentleman through and through. I feel blessed to have known him for the past 30 years or so. In that time I don’t think I ever heard a negative thing from him, always positive, caring and genuine. May God bless you and your family Charlie, you will be missed by many.

  3. Patience is the first step. If Bernie said it once , he said it a thousand times. It was some of the best advice on demonstrating Christianity in the workplace to say nothing about its value as professional advice. Bernie lived it in a room of unruly teens he somehow loved. Bernie defined churchman and the spirit and character he embodied will be missed.

  4. I’m sorry for your loss, Mom Sandbach and family. I haven’t seen you all in years, but was always welcomed in your home as a teenager. I always enjoyed seeing and talking to Bernie. He was a wonderful example as a Christian man. My thoughts and prayers are with you all!

  5. We were saddened to hear of Charlie’s passing. I’ve known Charlie sometime after he and his wife moved in to the Villas at Butler Hill. He was a nice, and kind, even tempered man. For a few years Charlie had volunteered as a Trustee for the Association in our subdivision. He did a lot to help make improvements. I would speak with him occasionally at the grocery store or in front of our home when he was out walking. He was always pleasant and upbeat. He will be missed.

  6. As our wise and wonderful “tax man”, Charlie was most helpful to David and me. Years ago as young parents, we were trying to save money and did our own taxes…ending up making a mistake and having to pay the IR$—
Soooo happy to have Charlie take over!
    He will be remembered fondly,
    Peace,
    Holly & Dave Gulick

  8. I will miss his reassuring and calm voice, even though I only saw him for a couple of minutes annually when dropping off our taxes. May Jesus bring His Comfort to the family during this time of mourning.
