O’Neal, Cheryl Rena

Cheryl Rena O’Neal gained her angel wings on June 6, 2024, at the age of 59. She was born in St. Louis on January 14, 1965 to her parents Robert & Lovy O’Neal.  Dear mother to Courtney Brie O’Neal, grandmother to Troy, Brienna, Devon, Aliyah. Great grandmother to Preston, Amaya, Nova, Londyn, Troy Jr., Haylo, Ramires.

Dear Daughter of Lovy (Swanson) O’Neal-Schwarz and “Pops” Steve, Granddaughter of Richard “Swede” and Anna B (Wells) Swanson. Niece to Beverly Wynne, Pat & Ken Ortmann, Diane (O’Neal) Jones, Dennis O’Neal, Anthony O’Neal & Scott O’Neal. Former Spouse of Matt Wroblewski.

Cousin to Kenneth & Mary Ortmann, William & Maranda Ortmann, Robin Trudo, Stephanie  English, Andy Jones & Nicky Jones-Fagust, Lisa & Danny O’Neal, Ronnie & Bobby Powell, Brandy O’Neal, Terri Woods & Shelly Blakeley, Nick Dispenziere, Eric & Ericka O’Neal, Clint O’Neal; great Cousins Colby & Aubree Ortmann.

Despite all her accomplishments, her biggest and most important job was being a daughter, mom, grandma, great grandma, aunt, niece and cousin.  She “LOVED” her family and traveling with her Mom, going to Cardinals games and reading.

Cheri will truly be missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Myron & Anna (Wells) Modglin, Otis & Otella O’Neal, Father Robert (Bob) O’Neal, Uncles Phillip Wynne, Bill O’Neal, Kenny O’Neal & Todd O’Neal. Aunts, Sandy Powell, Ruth Woods, Kathy Dispenziere and  Cousin Trisha Wyant Ortmann-Leslie.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 11, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Wednesday, June 12, at 10:00 am, with funeral service starting at 11:00 am, at Kutis South County Funeral Home, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, Mehlville, MO 63129.  She will be laid to rest immediately following her service at New Saint Marcus Cemetery, 7901 Gravios Rd, St Louis, Mo 63123.

  2. I am so saddened to hear of Cheryl’s passing. I had the pleasure of working with her for many years. She was a wonderful colleague and someone I could always count on for help. Cheryl was wise way beyond her years and was kind to everyone she met. My condolences to her family. She will be missed but she is undoubtedly with the angels in heaven.

  5. I just heard this news and I’m so sorry to the family. I met Cheryl at Cleveland High and she was such a sweet, caring, loving person. She’ll be missed by many. Hugs and prayers to all that loved her.
