Jay William Cibulka, age 70, passed away in his home in House Springs, Mo, after an illness on Sunday, October 25, 2026.
Jay was born on May 22, 1956 in St. Louis, Mo to Janet Kniesche and James Cibulka, both of St. Louis.
Jay was a lifelong Affton, Mo resident and an Affton High School graduate. He went on to work as an over the road truck driver, working for Old El Paso and Schnuck’s, among others. He retired from Schnuck’s several years ago, and spent his days watching his St. Louis Blues and Cardinals.
Jay married June Schmidt Plant in the early 1980’s and they lived together in Affton and eventually House Springs. Jay is preceeded in death by his wife June, and his parents, James and Janet. Jay is survived by his brother Jon, his aunt and uncle, Ken and Alice Slavik, several beloved cousins, and stepchildren Ken Plant, Patti Haugen, and Laurie McFadden.
A private family celebration of life will take place in the future. Enjoy the road to heaven, Crazy Horse.
