Adoring mother of Maxamillion Cotton; beloved daughter of William J. Cotton and the late Teresa M. Cotton (nee Tullock); loving sister of Sarah (Alex) Biffar, cherished aunt of Jade and Lily Biffar; dear life partner of Earl Major; dear stepmother of Za’Niyah and Ariyanna Major; dear granddaughter of Carolyn Sue Cotton and the late William G. Cotton and Ronald and Elsie Tullock. Our dearest niece, great-niece, cousin and friend to many.

Jessica was always the life of the party. She had a gift for making anyone laugh, and when Jessica was around, you knew there would be a good time and plenty of stories to tell afterward. Her laughter, her jokes, and her unforgettable personality could light up any room.

One of Jessica’s greatest joys in life was being a mom to her son, Max. She absolutely adored him and treasured their special time together. She would often have what she called “M&M Days” — Mommy and Max Days. Those days were just for the two of them, creating memories and sharing a bond that only a mother and son could have. Max was truly her pride and joy, and there was never any question how deeply she loved him.

Jessica also had a passion for cooking. She loved being in the kitchen and feeding the people she loved. Of course, Jessica could find humor in just about anything. She would always crack the joke that Earl had a six-pack before he got with her—a true testament to both her cooking and her sense of humor.

Jessica loved makeup, beauty, and getting herself ready. She lived by her famous motto, “Better late than ugly.” And if you knew Jessica, you knew she was going to be late! But somehow, that was just part of loving her. You waited, you laughed, and when Jessica finally arrived, she was worth the wait.

She was an amazing “wife” to Earl and loved him deeply. She also loved her bonus daughters and embraced them as family. Jessica had always wanted a daughter, and when Za’Niyah entered her life, she finally had a little girl to dote over, love, and spoil. She cherished having that special bond and the opportunity to pour so much love into her.

Jessica was also, without a doubt, a momma’s girl. The bond she shared with our mom was incredibly special, and losing Mom left a space in Jessica’s heart that could never truly be filled. While our hearts are broken to lose Jessica, it brings us peace and comfort knowing that she is with Mom again. We can only imagine their reunion—the hugs, the laughter, and the love of a mother and daughter together once more.

Jessica leaves behind so many memories, so much laughter, and a love that will never be forgotten. The world feels quieter without her, but her spirit will live on in Max, in the family she loved so deeply, in every story we tell, and every laugh we share.

Jessica was deeply loved, and she will be deeply missed. Her laughter, beauty, humor, and unforgettable spirit will remain in our hearts forever.

Visitation at Kutis Affton Chapel 10151 Gravois Rd. 63123 on Tuesday, July 14 from 4-9 with Funeral Service on Wednesday, July 15 at 11:00 am. Interment will be held in private.
