March 20, 1932 - July 3, 2024

Craden, Richard J. Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, on Wednesday, July 3rd, 2024.  Son of the late Charles and Gurtrude (nee: McGee) Craden.  Husband of the late Anna (nee: Mica) Craden.  Father of Marsha (the late Gary) Gajewski and the late Gary Craden.  Brother of the late Charles, Robert, Dorothy, Elmer and Wilbert Craden.  Uncle of Margaret and Tony Kilroy, Shirley and Danny Rupp, Joseph and Cathy Mica III, Diana and Lonnie Land, John and Kelly Mica, Laurie Carroll and Terry and Jim Durban.  Mr. Craden was a Corporal in the Army, Korean War.  He was an assistant Golf Pro for 50 years at St. Louis Country Club.  Then he ran golf tournaments and gave golf lessons at Log Cabin Country Club for 20 years.  He had 6 hole in ones.  Donations to St. Louis Scottie Rescue.

Services from Kutis City Chapel. Saturday, July 20th: 9:15am Prayers, followed by 10:00am Mass at St. Wencelaus Catholic Church, 3014 Oregon Ave., St. Louis, Mo. 63118. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation on Friday, July 19th, 2024 from 3:00pm to 8:00pm

  1. I was privileged to know Rich both at St. Louis Country Club and later at Log Cabin Club. He was unfailingly kind and courteous, a cosummate gentleman. He was a great golfer and a better human being. I am among many with fond memories and will miss him.
