In Loving Memory

Cuppy, Mary Ann

December 4, 1930 - August 15, 2023

Fortified with the sacraments of the Holy Catholic Church, passed away peacefully on August 15 , 2023.

Ann was the cherished wife of the late Larry Cuppy for 70 years and loving mother of their seven children Carol Taylor (Keith), Glenn Cuppy (Cheryl), Joan Wakeman, Dan Cuppy (Karen), Terri Prange (Mark), and the late Tom and Mikey Cuppy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Edna Mitchell; her brother Harold Mitchell, Jr. and sister Mildred Schacht. She will be remembered and missed by her 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.  She was loved and admired by many as a daughter, sister, wife, mother, sister-in-law, aunt, neighbor and great friend to many.

Ann was a delightful and sweet woman who loved her family deeply, always available with a kind word and spending time with them was her favorite activity. She was a loving and faithful woman who always considered herself blessed for the 70 years of marriage she shared with the love of her life – Cup.  Throughout her life, Ann had many long-time friends who she kept laughing with her fun nature and quick wit.  Her kindness and sense of humor will be greatly missed by her family, friends, neighbors and all who knew her along the way.  She was one of a kind and brought much joy and happiness to everyone she knew.

Service: Private Interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Memorial Mass at St. Simon the Apostle Catholic Church on Friday, August 18, 2023 at 11:30.  In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. Agnes Home appreciated.

  2. Mrs Cuppy was such a treasure. I had the privilege of living down the street from the Cuppy’s. Mrs. Cuppy had a way of showing love I will always appreciate. She truly cared for all she met. My love to all the family, especially my dear friend Carol.
    Love,

  3. Dear Ann, oh the wonderful whistle, you had when calling your children home when we were children. The many times you drove us to school in the snow in the station wagon you had. The school picnics at chain of rocks park. The picnics we shared at St.Joseph state park. The neighborhood gatherings we shared. The Marigold flowers in your yard. I plant Marigolds in my yard now and think of you Ann. So many wonderful memories of you Ann. Patty and I are forever grateful when you took us in when our Mom Bernadine Michael passed away in 1971 and our ” Michael Family ” split up for two months ! All the things you and Larry did for us!!
