Sharon Davis

In Loving Memory

Davis, Sharon

October 31, 1948 - October 30, 2023

Sharon Davis died the day before her 75th Birthday. Born on Halloween, she always loved the holidays and parties. She lived a storied life and was known for tricks, pranks, dressing up, drama, and dancing.

Born in Chicago, Illinois, she moved Quincy as a young mom to be closer and care for her aging father and found her way into an MCC church. After his passing she moved to Belleville to raise her children. Once her boys graduated high school, she moved to St. Louis where she found home at MCC Greater St. Louis. She worked many jobs and floated through many communities though she always came home to her church. MCCGSL was the most important place for her and she poured into it whenever possible as a wonderful chef, kitchen whiz, usher, communion holder, and anything else she could come to the church for. With failed health, she has been a part of our online community for the last few years. Sharon loved serving others, in turn, she was cared for by many in the community.

She is survived by her two sons Carlton Davis and Jody (Angie) Smyth, two Grandchildren Connor Schwieger, and holly Smyth, and many friends.

Services: A celebration of life will be held at Metropolitan Community Church of Greater St. Louis on Sunday, November 26th at 3:00pm.
