  1. Jerry was a great friend and co-worker for many years. Jerry was also a very competent engineer. He retired one year after me in 1998. He will be missed.

  3. Sincere condolences to the Dawes family. Jerry always took care of his reporters in the field and that meant a lot. And as Al mentioned above, his Tennessee accent was the icing on the cake.

  5. Jerry Dawes was my wonderful friend , coworker and family man who was always relating stories about his beloved wife Judi, their children and his hound dogs.
A superior professional whom I met when we both worked for CBS Network owned KMOX-TV. Jerry was a pillar of the communications industry, a gentleman and kind soul. Our deepest sympathy to Judi and family.

  7. We were all sadden with the passing of Jerry. What a wonderful man. Always full of stories, that all started out… Well you know. And always put a smile on your face. He will be missed by many but also remembered. We are very sorry for our families loss. Wish we could have made the trip to the funeral, although that did not turn out. Love, thoughts and prayers with you all.
