Anjanette Marie DeLeon, 48, passed away on January 10th, 2023 in St. Louis Missouri. She was born in St. Louis on January 24th, 1974 as Anjanette M. Spies. She grew up in St. Louis with her parents and her sister Amanda. Anjanette was proceeded in death by her parents Alvin “Butch” and Joan Spies.
Anjanette is survived by her husband Jesse DeLeon and their two daughters, Jessica and Maya. After graduating from St. Elizabeth High School, Anjanette attended Avila College in Kansas City in 1996.
She met Jesse in they were married on June 28th, 1997 and they have been married for 25 years. She was a loving mother and very proud of her children. She is lovingly remembered by her sister, Amanda Spies, her niece Morgan Spies, as well as her aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Anjie was the life of the party and brought joy and laughter to those around her. She was a creative artist, loved to dance and was always up for playing a game.
Anjanette taught in several St. Louis Public Schools for the last 24 years. Most recently she was a preschool teacher at Washington Montessori, where she was beloved by her students, their families, and her colleagues. She touched the hearts of many people with her upbeat personality and admirable work ethic.
Her memorial will be held from noon – 3pm on Saturday, January 21st, 2023.
