Paul-DeRousse

In Loving Memory

DeRousse III, Paul P.

Baptized into the hope of Christ’s resurrection, Paul P. DeRousse III passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 8, 2022. Proud father of Paul P. DeRousse IV, beloved son of Ann (Stephen) Loux and the late Paul P. DeRousse II, loving brother of Laurie (Chad) Reinwald, and uncle-to-be; dear nephew, cousin and friend to many. Paul was born October 5, 1981 in St. Louis, Missouri. It was in his senior year at South Technical High School that he developed his love for working with his hands. Paul followed in his father’s footsteps after graduation and went on to become a longtime member of IUOE Local 513 as a heavy equipment operator. In 2010, he pursued his dream of starting his own business and worked as a talented mechanic, welder and fabricator. Paul was a loyal friend and selfless soul, always putting the needs of others before his own. He loved with his whole heart, even when others weren’t deserving. He had a sarcastic wit and was honest to a fault. He took great pride in being a man of his word and always staying true to his principles. Despite the challenges life threw his way, Paul persevered in the face of adversity. His sudden passing has been a devastating loss; he will be missed beyond words. We love you Paul.

SERVICES: Funeral from Kutis Affton Chapel, 10151 Gravois Road, Monday, March 14, 11:45 AM to St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church for 12:30 PM funeral mass. Interment at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation Sunday, March 13, 4-8 PM.

  1. He was a great friend to me and my brother Frank in highschool. We went to many concerts together, even Woodstock in 1999. He was always making us laugh and will be missed greatly. My deepest sympathy to all who knew him.

  3. My dearest condolences to his son and family. I want to apologize that I’ve never got the chance to meet you all. I learned a lot from Paul when working in the shop with him or just having a talk, those were my fondest memories with him. I cannot say how sorry I am that he is gone. – Amber K. And family.

  5. Wow… such a shock. Many of you don’t know who I am but I knew and worked with Paul at Valvoline when he was just 18. We were fast friends and I had many laughs with this kid. I’m so sorry to hear of his passing. It’s a heartbreaker. My condolences to all the family members and his friends. God speed my brother, until we meet again.

  7. I am devastated by his passing. Paul has became one of my closest friends in these last 4yrs. We grew very close. I admired his views and intellect. He was truly ba one of a kind guy! Trustworthy & honest as the day is long. “To do a proper” as he would say. I wish he knew just how much he really meant to me & my child. Things just won’t be the same. :'( Good Bye My Beloved Friend~

We had a miner disagreement and went a while with out speaking and his passing had been unknown to me until now.He literally would had done anything to insure my safety wellbeing n to prove himself a true n honest friend in my corner no matter what and when I wasn’t able to get in touch with him I thought he moved or something better had happened for him or at least that’s what I hoped. I will always miss him n love him n won’t ever meet another like him . He is really a angel undercover no one could ever fathom it but I’d seen it n he has been n forever will be very much missed .only wish I could a been around sooner n this wouldn’t of happened I’m sorry Paul I love u n miss u greatly….
