Nancy C. DeWeese, the worlds best Grandma and mom, age 72, passed away peacefully and comfortably in her sleep in the early morning of June 8th 2023. Nancy was born on May 17th 1951 to Nellie (nee: Ramsey) and Paul Smith.
Nancy is preceded in death by her late husband Joseph J. DeWeese Sr. (the worlds best grandpa), her sons Herbert and George, her parents, her siblings, and two great grandchildren, Konrad and Brielle.
She leaves behind her children, Michael Ramsey, Joseph DeWeese Jr., Tammy Riley (Edward Riley), and Charles DeWeese. She also leaves her grandchildren, Natalie Garrison (Josh Rickenberg), Staci “the favorite” Wishon (Jason McArthur), Jasmine Bagwell (Devin Bagwell), Jennifer Sanders, Melissa Sanders, Brett Williams, and Paige Meyers. And her great grandchildren, Kaelyn McArthur, Luna Garrison, Amara Garrison, and Xavier Rickenberg.
Nancy was such a rock for so many people, she was the last living elder in her generation. Her nieces and nephews always stayed in touch, she held the family together. She had a rough life, and made the absolute best of it, never took more than her share, and would give up her share to help someone else. She was sassy and would tell you exactly how it was, and that’s how we want you to remember her.
Nancy will be interred at Sunset Cemetery in Pacific Missouri, close to her great granddaughter Brielle.
Services: Funeral at KUTIS SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd. Friday, June 16 at 11 a.m. Interment Sunset Cemetery (Pacific). Visitation Thur 5-7 p.m.
