  1. Uncle Gene was a fabulous uncle, even from the long-distance to our family in Portland Oregon! He was fun-loving, warm and a kick to spend time with! He and my Aunt Charlene were great about coming to Oregon over the years, sometimes with their boys other times as a stop along the way of their many travel adventures. And we always made sure to see them when we were in St. Louis. My family loves their family so much and Uncle Gene will be sorely missed. Love, Suzanne Diers

  3. Art and I were friends with Gene and Char since high school days. We double dated in those days. We were in each other’s weddings. We went on vacations together, and Art introduced Gene to fishing up in Canada. We had many good times together, and Gene will be missed. He was a wonderful person and loved the Lotd. And now he is in heaven with Him. My sympathies are with the family, and they are in my prayers.

  5. So sorry Char for your loss. You were both warm and gentle hosts to the St. Louis Deaconess Area Conference whenever we were brave enough to drive out to your home which seemed at the time to be “way out there.” Only God knows the severity of your pain. Love and peace to you and your family at this time.
