Dinsmoor, William “Bill”

Age 72, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, March 24th.

Bill is survived by his loving wife Debra (Debby) Dinsmoor, his adoring children Grace Dinsmoor, Gretchen Hines (Dinsmoor), and Todd (Tina) Dinsmoor.

Bill was a proud grandfather, lovingly known as Papa Bill, to Alex, Andrew, Mikayla, Alayna, Jacob, Audrey, Gabriella, Zara and Zuri. And great grandfather to Tatum.

He was a dear brother to three adoring sisters, MaryEllen Volner, Sharon (Dave) Wilson and Jane Beckman. Dear uncle, cousin and friend to many.

He is preceded in death by his mother Dorothy J. Beckman (Dinsmoor) and stepfather Eugene O. Beckman.

Bill was born in Massachusetts and his early years were spent growing up as a military child living across the United States. He attended Bayside High School in Virginia Beach, VA and went on to serve his country in the United States Marine Corp. He later settled in St. Louis and worked in transportation and communication for Bi-State Transit and Laclede Cab Company.

Bill’s motto in life was to “Stay Peaceful” and he lived his life according to that motto by being a kind and gentle soul. He will be severely missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 1 from 4-8 pm at Kutis Funeral Home at 5255 Lemay Ferry Road.
