Dittmaier, Joseph W. “Joe”

Dittmaier, Joseph William “Joe”  95, passed away on March 4, 2024 in Memphis TN.  He was born June 5, 1928 in St. Louis MO.   He had previously lived in north St. Louis County and Caledonia MO. Joe proudly served in the Korean War.  He was a 66-year member of Mid-America Carpenters Regional Council (formerly Carpenters Local 5).  Joe was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 67 years Ann. He was also preceded in death by his parents Joseph J. and Helen Dittmaier and his sister Helen Koelling.  He is survived by his children Mary Ann Shenep, Thomas (Kathy) Dittmaier and Susan (James) Kaiser, 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, his sister Imelda Wentz and numerous other family members and friends.

Services: Visitation on Monday April 15, 2024, at St. Margaret Mary Alacoque 4900 Ringer Road, 9 a.m. until funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment J.B. National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contribution to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105, appreciated.
