Mr. Divis was one of the finest individuals I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. He was a true role model, someone every man could look to as an example of how to live with integrity, warmth, and purpose. He led by action, always making time for his family and those around him, never seeking recognition but always giving generously of his time and heart. His life served as a blueprint for what it means to be a great man.
Whenever I came back to St. Louis, I always made it a point to visit him. Being in his presence was a gift, he could fill a room with his laughter and light heart. He always had a smile, a story, or a joke ready to share, and he made everyone feel welcome and seen. What I remember most is how often he spoke about his children and grandchildren with such pride. You could hear the joy in his voice every time he talked about them, and it was clear how deeply he loved his family.
He was genuinely interested in others, and you could feel that when you talked with him. Our conversations were filled with warmth and laughter, and I always left feeling a little better about the world. His guidance and kindness over the years had a lasting impact on me, and I will carry those lessons with me always.
Growing up across the street from the Mr. And Mrs. Divis was one of the greatest blessings of my life. The sense of community, friendship, and care they shared left an impression on me that I will never forget.
I will deeply miss Mr. Divis, but the light he brought into the lives of those around him, and the example he set, will never fade. His kindness, joy, and love for his family will live on in the stories we tell and the values he instilled in all of us.
I have known Greg, otherwise known as Bo since kindergarden at St Anthony of Padua School. We were even boy friend and girlfriend in teen years until Karen came along and I was very happy for them. They visited with me and my grandchildren few years ago on Maui. I would talk with Greg every once in awhile and enjoyed the calls. I will miss him but happy he is with Karen now.

Thought and Prayers!
Very sorry for the Divis families loss. I pray your hearts hold his love, & your minds his memories & wisdom.
Joe keep making him proud as he lives in you.
God bless & hold the Divis family.
Mr. Divis was a wonderful person. He was kind, caring, and funny! He loved and cared for his family and was so very proud of them all. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
I grew up with Greg or Bo as we knew him those days at St. Anthony of Padua grade school and St. Mary’s High School. Greg was always a lot of fun and very generous person. He was very proud of his family. He was always trying to give my wife Maria etiquette tips. Greg and Karen were the perfect couple. He will be missed.

Greg
There are two kinds of people in this world: those who knew Greg as a relative and those who knew him from the rugby field. I had the honor (and the bumps & bruises) to know both.
Let’s start with the polite version—the one most folks talk about in these touching tributes. Greg, as anyone would tell you, was the kind of guy who made everything a little better just by showing up. Neat as a pin, friendly as a favorite cousin, and more thoughtful than a man with his own Hallmark aisle, Greg wasn’t just a cousin, a manager or a coworker—he was the warm heartbeat of the team. He was a cousin, a confidant, a teacher, and a treasured friend.
But now let’s talk about the *other* Greg. The one with fire in his eyes and cleats on his feet.
You see, none of these folks waxing poetic about his warmth ever had to face Greg barreling at them at full speed on a rugby pitch during the Easter Rugby Fest. And believe me: when you’ve been introduced to Greg’s shoulder at 30 miles an hour, you gain a whole new appreciation for the phrase *force of nature*.
He was a beast out there. A gentleman off the field, sure. But between the lines? He was the kind of guy you didn’t just respect—you braced for. I’ve got bumps on my elbows, slaps against the side of my head that still whisper his name in the winter.
And yet somehow, Greg balanced it all. He could be a storm in the scrum and still be the guy who remembered your birthday and your kid’s name. He made space for people. He made you feel like you mattered.
I don’t think I’ll ever meet another man who could flatten you in a ruck and then help you up with a grin and ask about your weekend. That was Greg. Fierce and tender. Loud with laughter and soft with care. A gentleman and a gladiator.
God bless the Divis family. And God bless Greg — Bo to many, beast to few, and a beautiful soul to us all.
Scott and I are holding Greg’s family in our hearts. There is joy in knowing he is with Jesus and with Karen and we WILL see him again. He and Karen were so kind and generous. I know you will miss his smile. Love to all of you.

Met greg at m-r plastics as an 18 year old kid. Worked with him for the next 40 years. Greg n Karen were always so much fun to be around.. A great man with a wonderful family. R.I.P. Dr.Divis.
Our deepest condolences on the passing of Mr. Greg Divis.
We met this great gentleman on our visits to Saint Louis to watch Washington University football games. At the time his son, Chris, and my son, Guillermo Arbona, played for the University Football Team.
Invariably, after the game, Greg and Mrs. Divis would always invite my family to his home for a get together as well as to a wonderful meal. I still remember those dinners and the wonderful company we experienced. Greg simply adopted us part of his Family.
His charm, generosity, energy and intellect will NEVER be forgotten in the Arbona Family. May he rest in peace. God Bless.
I worked with Greg for 14 years at DASH. Such a wonderful man and I always respected him as a person. He will be truely missed and I send my best wishes to his family. Just know that your Dad had a great influence on many people.
Greg and his wife Karen were among the first of the Bombers Rugby team friends Sue met when Sue and Reco began dating in 1969. Sue and Reco enjoyed many rugby games and activities with the Divis Family. Reco was a Bombers team member at the time Greg was the Bombers coach.
The Divis Family definitely holds a special place in our hearts. In addition to the rugby connection, Greg and Karen were in our lives when we were married and when our children were born. Greg, Karen, and the Divis children are part of many great memories.
Sending love and gratitude to your family as you celebrate the life of your father.
Greg was an exceptional individual. A true leader, one who sacrificed for many. Whenever I see the name Divis I think of St Mary’s High School and what that institution meant to many who grew up there. I remember fondly Greg, Denny, Tim (my best friend) and Pat who were all special individuals. God bless the Divis family.
I didn’t only lose a terrific neighbor, I lost a very good friend. Many times Greg and I laughed, prayed and even cried together. This week, I’ve caught myself several times glancing over to see if his door was open, hoping to poke my head in and say hello. I am happy he is with ‘Blondie’ now, but selfishly I would just love to talk with him one more time. I will miss him greatly….
Greg was one of the people who interviewed me as I came on board with MarChem 20 years ago. He was the definition of a consummate professional and an inspiration to me as I started my career through when he retired. Everyone I’ve met who has interacted with Greg always spoke of him with respect both professionally and personally. He will be missed.
Greg was such a dear, kind, thoughtful and generous man. Any time spent with Greg was enjoyable. Greg and Karen hosted many family get togethers at their home. Some were Texas Hold ’em contests. There was a big family party before Aunt Bee moved to Seattle. Once they hosted a Schuchardt family Trivia night. They also hosted many Schuchardt family Christmas/New Year Holiday parties. This past January Greg scheduled the Holiday Party in early January. Because of the ice storm that left the streets undrivable, the party was postponed until February 2nd. Greg left all his Christmas decorations up so all the family could enjoy them. Some of my youngest grandsons really enjoyed the musical Christmas band. Greg was beaming as he played it for the little ones.
I have to mention how I got to babysit the Divis children when I was in high school and Greg and Karen would go out for the evening. Greg and Karen were good parents so it was always an easy and fun evening for me spending time with their kiddos. It was always obvious that the Divis family was a home filled with love of God and love of each other. I always enjoyed spending time with them.
During the past year and a half, I would sometimes just drop in to say “hi” to Greg. He always seemed glad to see me. Greg was always smiling and always in a good mood. Greg will be missed by many; including by me.
Love and sympathy to all of the Divis children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
To the entire Divis family,
We are so sorry for your loss. Sending prayers for comfort and peace during this difficult time.
Stephanie, Joshua and Jacob Weaver

I was Mr. Divis’ barber for many years – I am incredibly saddened by his passing. I got to learn and grow with him, I even found out he had known my own family before I came into the world. He had an impact on my life in such a beautiful way. My deepest condolences to the family.
