  2. Mr. Divis was one of the finest individuals I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. He was a true role model, someone every man could look to as an example of how to live with integrity, warmth, and purpose. He led by action, always making time for his family and those around him, never seeking recognition but always giving generously of his time and heart. His life served as a blueprint for what it means to be a great man.

Whenever I came back to St. Louis, I always made it a point to visit him. Being in his presence was a gift, he could fill a room with his laughter and light heart. He always had a smile, a story, or a joke ready to share, and he made everyone feel welcome and seen. What I remember most is how often he spoke about his children and grandchildren with such pride. You could hear the joy in his voice every time he talked about them, and it was clear how deeply he loved his family.

He was genuinely interested in others, and you could feel that when you talked with him. Our conversations were filled with warmth and laughter, and I always left feeling a little better about the world. His guidance and kindness over the years had a lasting impact on me, and I will carry those lessons with me always.

Growing up across the street from the Mr. And Mrs. Divis was one of the greatest blessings of my life. The sense of community, friendship, and care they shared left an impression on me that I will never forget.

I will deeply miss Mr. Divis, but the light he brought into the lives of those around him, and the example he set, will never fade. His kindness, joy, and love for his family will live on in the stories we tell and the values he instilled in all of us.
