In Loving Memory

Dowgiallo, Rosemarie Josephine

March 30, 1951 - July 7, 2024

Rose (Rosemarie) Dowgiallo passed away peacefully on July 7, 2024, at her home in St. Louis, Missouri. Rose was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Rose Strubeck Langan.

Along with her parents and grandparents, Rose was preceded in death by brothers Joseph, Paul, Robert, Jackie, Thomas, Gerald and John Langan; and sister Helen Langan Casey.

She is survived by her loving sons Alex and Mark (Marusha) Dowgiallo, her grandson, Aiden, her devoted sister, Debbie Langan, and longtime friends including Mary Ann Klosterman. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Her family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Jamshed Agha and the team at Mercy Hospital South Cancer Center for their care, as well as the caring staff at Mercy Hospice South.

Rose was a highly decorated member of the United States Air Force for many years.  She ended her career working for the Department of Defense and lived in St. Louis for most of her life. She found joy in her charity work which included working with the Society of St. Vincent de Paul and cherished the companionship of her beloved pets.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Rose’s name can be made to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul (https://svdpstlouis.org/ways-help/donate-goods ); or to the Mercy Hospice South; or to any no-kill animal shelter (Stray Rescue of St. Louis – Donate).

Private funeral arrangements will be held at Kutis Funeral Home.
