Sheryl Doyle, 1947-2024 a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at the age of 77 years old.
Born September 26, 1947, Sheryl was born the second child of Juanita and Alvin McGraw. She has an older sister Marilyn McGraw Beiter, and a younger brother Alan (Sonny) McGraw survive her.
Growing up in the St. Louis area, Sheryl had a childhood filled with simple joys like family vacations and hanging out with friends. Sheryl graduated from Hazelwood High School in 1965 and took courses at Florissant Valley Community College. Sheryl married her husband Larry Doyle (deceased 2017) in July, 1970, and were blessed with a son, Andrew in 1977.
Sheryl resided in Oakville, Missouri. A true master of motherhood, she was the rock of her family. With a knack for thoughtful gifts, and never missing a little league game, all while juggling a full-time job at the VA Hospital. She was the epitome of a supermom. Sheryl rightfully retired in 2012. Putting her loved ones first, Sheryl was a beacon of support, especially during Larry’s battle with cancer. Dancing, music, card games, garage sales, and watching the Cardinals play were among Sheryl’s favorite pastimes.
Sheryl was a devoted member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ. Known affectionately as “Mimi” by her grandchildren. She cherished taking them (Jacob, Nathan, and Norah) to Sunday School. Proud as a peacock, Sheryl always showcased her grandkids to anyone who would lend an ear.
Sheryl’s legacy of love and kindness will endure. Forever etched in our hearts, rest peacefully, surrounded by love in the heavens above.
Services; A memorial visitation will be held at Kutis South County Chapel (5255 Lemay Ferry) on Sat. Nov. 16th from 12PM until service at 2PM.
