In Loving Memory

Dupuis, Andrea

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at Kutis South County Chapel 5255 Lemay Ferry Road St. Louis, Missouri 63129 for Andrea Monique Guidry Dupuis, age 50, who passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at Evelyn’s House hospice facility after a lengthy battle against cancer.  Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 at the funeral home.

Andrea was born on December 27, 1973 in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana to Richard Lee & Terry Lyn Lalande Guidry.  She graduated with honors from Teurlings Catholic High School in Lafayette, Louisiana in 1991.  Andrea received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration in December 1995 from the University of Southwestern Louisiana (now University of Louisiana at Lafayette).

On June 10, 2000, Andrea married the love of her life, Jason J. Dupuis and moved to St. Louis, Missouri.  She worked in Accounting at Wendy’s Corporate Office before hiring on at Assurant Insurance (now Sun Life Investment).  While there, Andrea received many awards and accolades for her work as Executive Account Manager to the numerous corporations and businesses she serviced.

Andrea truly embraced her life in St. Louis.  True to her Cajun heritage, she created a warm and loving home for her family.  Andrea had many friends and colleagues and more than a few nicknamed her “Ragin Cajun”- they knew she was a force to be reckoned with.  She enjoyed attending concerts and was an avid sports fan.  She cherished her many visits to Breaux Bridge and yearly beach trips with her family to Destin, Florida.  Andrea gave her family many fond memories and lots of good times to remember.

Andrea is survived by her husband of 24 years, Jason Dupuis and her daughter, Sarah Evelyn Dupuis of St. Louis, MO.  She is also survived by her mother, Terry Lyn Lalande Guidry, her sister, Melanie G. Latiolais and husband, Adam, all of Breaux Bridge, LA; her father-in-law, Darwin Dupuis, of St. Louis and sister-in-law, Audra D. Ellison and husband, Darren, of Pleasant Hill, MO.  Also mourning her death are nieces, Jenna & Elyse Latiolais of Breaux Bridge, LA and Ashley, Taylor & Jessica Smith of Pleasant Hill, MO.  Andrea also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Lee Guidry, mother-in-law, Jacqueline J. Dupuis, maternal grandparents, Paul Lalande, Jr. & Evelyn Lalande Martin; paternal grandparents, Dewey & Lillian Dupuis Guidry; uncles, Roy Robert and Steven L. Lalande and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Per her request, Andrea will be buried in her home town of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana.  These services will take place at a later date.

Kutis Funeral Home in St. Louis and Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge are in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Andrea’s name to Evelyn’s House, Foundation for Barnes-Jewish Hospital, P.O.Box 790369, St. Louis, MO 63129-9917, phone number 314-286-0600 or the charity of your choice

  6. I never knew her personally, but I knew of her. I was two grades ahead of her during our St. Genevieve/Teurlings days. This past weekend, during the Prayers Of The Faithful, I heard her name announced as having died. I thought:”It can’t be.” Looked it up, sure enough. Sad to hear of her passing. Condolences and prayers.

  15. Though we didn’t get the opportunity to “meet” Andrea we’ve known Jason and in fact Sarah since she was a little girl when Jason would bring her over to the house to do the “GENIUS” work for my husband and I.
Our hearts are more than broken and we will never understand why such bad things have to happen to such good people. Jason and Sarah we are here for the both of you.

  17. My sweet, beautiful friend… you were one of the most selfless, thoughtful and loving people I’ve ever known. You never missed a birthday (my husband and kiddos included) or an anniversary. You always put others first. When my kiddos were babies, you’d come over every Friday evening and walk with, feed and love on my fussiest baby (I won’t name names… we both know who that was) during her witching hour. If there was anything you could do to make life easier for others, you’d do it. I am the luckiest because I was able to call you one of my dearest friends and I’ll treasure that forever. Sending my love to Jason, Sarah, Terry, Melanie and the rest of your family and friends.
