Jill Duval

In Loving Memory

Duvall, Jill A. (nee Wormus)

April 1, 1955 - July 29, 2025

Duvall, Jill A. (nee Wormus) Tuesday July 29, 2025. Beloved wife of Dennis Duvall. Dear mother of Claudia Nicole (Micah Borowitz) Duvall, Christian (Jessica) Duvall. Dear grandmother of Caden Russell Duvall.

Jill grew up in Cincinnati and Dayton Ohio where she worked at the NCR Credit Union.  After their wedding, Jill and Denny moved to St. Louis where she worked for Mark Twain banks as a commercial loan administrator.  With the birth of her first child, Jill stayed home with the children until they were in high school and college.  She then returned to work as the assistant to the principal at Rosati-Kain High School and ran the school bookstore until her retirement.  At Rosati-Kain she won the Cardinal Rigali Service Award in 2016.

Jill enjoyed the theater.  She and her husband were long standing season ticket holders at The Fox and Muny.  She also enjoyed gardening at her home and helped maintain the flower beds at St. Michael’s and Shrewsbury city property.  She was a member of a small group of citizens who put through a bond issue for Shrewsbury to purchase Prep South from the archdiocese, providing a city center and expanding Wehner park from 15 to 30 acres.  As a longtime member of the Shrewsbury parks Board, she won the Shrewsbury Citizen of the Year from the Shrewsbury/Webster Groves chamber of commerce in 2000.

Memorial visitation at Kutis Affton Chapel 10151 Gravois Rd. Sunday, August 3 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm.  Memorial service Monday, August 4 at 10:00 am followed by an internment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery 2900 Sheridan Rd.  In lieu of flowers, contributions to the American Cancer Society https://www.cancer.org/ appreciated.
